Evoenergy partnership

Since 2018, BMCA has been Evoenergy’s trusted partner for civil surveillance on critical 11kV and 132kV feeder projects across the ACT – helping deliver complex underground electrical infrastructure to exacting standards.

From full-length daily site inspections to real-time defect tracking, BMCA’s experienced surveillance officers and technical capabilities have played an integral role in supporting the safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of Evoenergy’s expanding energy network.

Our surveillance services for Evoenergy
  • Extensive trenching, conduit installation and underbores across Canberra
  • Large-scale pull-pits, joint bays and electrical bedding
  • Stormwater and drainage upgrades
  • Sloped and remote terrain access management
  • Coordination of reinstatement, road crossings and landscaping

An example of the scope of this is reflected by the Molonglo Valley 132kV feeder, which required precision trenching, backfill and pit construction across challenging terrain, including underboring beneath the Molonglo River.

Our team’s daily walking inspections supported Evoenergy’s Project Assurance Panel (PAP) by verifying construction quality and ensuring compliance with detailed specifications for joint bay grounding, mandrill testing, conduit positioning and defect remediation.

On the 11kV feeder projects, including those linking Eastlake and Brindabella Business Park, BMCA provided rigorous field oversight to manage underboring operations around sensitive and congested utility corridors.

ConstructionEye drives accountability and transparency

BMCA’s custom-built ConstructionEye platform played a key role in helping Evoenergy maintain visibility across wide project areas. The digital tool enabled efficient communication between site teams and client representatives – tracking defect resolution, highlighting quality issues and supporting milestone-based assessments.

Its use across multiple feeder projects established ConstructionEye as an important digital companion to Evoenergy’s delivery model, improving workflows and ensuring a strong record for all key decisions.

A trusted partnership delivering on Canberra’s energy needs

BMCA’s long-standing relationship with Evoenergy is founded on consistent performance, proactive issue resolution and strong familiarity with the technical requirements of conduit installation and civil support works for high-voltage assets.

With established rapport among Evoenergy project managers and contractors, as well as in-depth understanding of the authority’s construction and safety protocols, BMCA continues to deliver confidence on site – and clarity in the field.
